Sophie Kelly has a diverse background spanning research, consulting, writing, and facilitation. Sophie has worked with a number of electric and gas utility clients across the country on low-income energy efficiency programs, distilling real-time customer feedback and savings data to empower utility programs to better serve communities and businesses. At Climable, a Massachusetts-based nonprofit focused on equitable energy solutions, she worked with communities throughout Greater Boston to implement microgrids for climate resilience. Through it all, her passion has remained the same: creating meaningful, sustainable solutions and empowering others to lead with authenticity.

Sophie thrives when she’s translating the complex into the actionable, rallying teams around a shared vision, and connecting the dots to make sh*t happen. At BusinessOutside, Sophie is best described as the ‘connector,’ ensuring flawless event coordination, supporting facilitators, and keeping many plates spinning in the air. She is grounded in cultivating intentional growth and authentic connections, working toward a future rooted in deeper relationships with each other and the earth. 

An avid skier, painter, concert-goer, backpacker, fly fisher, swimmer, coffee shop connoisseur, and canoer, Sophie finds balance in nature and creativity. She lives in Boulder with her husband, and her zany dog, Louie, who has never met a stranger.
